Saratoga Old World

Now we’re going to go to what I think is a beautiful exterior with the stone and this natural weathered looking doors aren’t what you think it would be (a solid slab) but they aren’t. It’s actually an engineered core door we make in the shop. We take short planks and glue them together with waterproof epoxy. Then we’ll run that through a sander to make it nice and smooth, but it’s more stable than a straight piece of wood because a straight piece of wood outside, will warp and twist over time. Doing the engineered cores and then applying a quarter inch of distressed veneer over the top of them will make them look old and last so they will be.

Also all the corbels were created in the shop. We just band saw them in house and they’re just small applied blocks to the house which we then rock around afterwards.

Inside are distressed box beams that are actually hand hewn for that old rustic look as if the house was built a hundred years ago.
